Copper is an experimental dance film about the living dead. The film explores themes of grief and social death. Our protagonist of the film travels through historical Black spaces in East Oakland–the first Black Baptist Church, the oldest barbershop– transforming as she grapples with the truth of what sacrifices are required to transform her gender identity.
